Our Team

Billie Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

San Juan Rehabilitation is so different from any place that I have worked in the past. I have never worked at a place that really and truly puts the residents first! They are able to make their own decisions. The motto here is “did we give them a choice” and to try and provide that as much as possible. I like the idea and approach of “we” rather than “I” or “Them”. I also highly respect and value the education knowledge and skill of my peers here at San Juan. Another added bonus is that we are encouraged to be ourselves and let our personalities shine through.

I’m married to a wonderful man named Joe for 34 years and he has a massage practice here in Anacortes as well. Together, we enjoy reading, hiking, camping, trying new recipes from different cookbooks, listening to music and enjoying concerts as well. We also love our two cats.

Vanessa Physical Therapy Assistant

There are so many reasons that I love working at San Juan.  There is a true feeling of family  for the residents as well as the staff. I love that we create an atmosphere where residents can be surrounded by friends and feel instantly relaxed. I really feel that the staff here works as a team and everyone’s goal is to put our residents first. We make sure that only their medical needs are met but also their emotional needs. Ensuring our residents feel important and loved is at the top of our list.

I am a highly energetic (most of the time) always on the go type of person. I am very family oriented. I have 2 younger sisters, 2 amazing nieces and 2 wonderful and very supportive parents. I am newly married and we currently do not have any children other than our fur babies (3 dogs and 2 cats). For fun, I enjoy doing anything outdoors especially hiking, watersports. Music, dancing and my wife keep me sane.

Rosa Medical Records

I love working at San Juan Rehabilitation. This job has given me opportunities for growth. I started as an NAC and now I’m Medical Records Director. I love that we aren’t run by a corporation that just wants to see a profit. The owner cares about the residents being happy and given what they need ,but more importantly, what they desire.

I have four children and I love that I can bring them to work. Watching them develop relationships with the residents is really rewarding. As a family, we enjoy going for drives and spending time together.

Amy Dietary Manager

I have worked at San Juan Rehabilitation for 18 years. I love working here and feel like the staff and residents are a part of my family. Being able to help someone is very rewarding. When I see a smile on the residents faces, it just makes my day. When I started, I was a Nursing Assistant but I also worked with the Rehabilitation Department as a Restorative Aide. I am currently the Dietary Manager and I assist with Activities as well. I’m a woman who wears many hats!

My husband and I came to Oak Harbor in 1998 because he was in the military. We loved the area and the beautiful scenery so we decided to retire here and raise our family. We have been together for 24 happy years and we have 2 sons and 4 grandchildren. I enjoy being outdoors, reading, cooking and spending time with my family and pets.

Lynda Executive Assistant

My favorite part of working at San Juan Rehabilitation is the people. The residents, families, employees, children and animals make every day different. We get to have fun with each other and our residents. I love that our company believes in making San Juan an oasis for the residents and staff alike. I’m married and have a wonderful son named DJ. As a family, we enjoy watching movies, playing outside and spending time with our dog Cocoa (or second child).

Jim Roe Owner

I am a resident of Anacortes with my 2 children and active within the community as well as with health care organizations within the state. I knew I had a passion for caring for our elders when my Grandfather moved in with my Mom, Dad, and I after having a stroke, while I was in college. Now my Mom lives with Kirby, Kay and I, thirty years later.

My family and I have a tradition of being graduates of University of Washington. I am an avid Husky football and Mariner fan. Not just my family, but all of our elders deserve a life worth living, and that’s our promise at all four of my homes.
